2010 Starts With A Wintery Blast

We started off  2010 with the temperature at -37C but then a winter snow storm has moved in with winds gusting 50 to 70 km/hr.  It is not an official blizzard which has a criteria  of wind chill below -25C, wind over 40 km/hr and visibility below 1 km for 4 hours.   We have the wind and windchill but  the visibility has not been too bad at 2-3 km. That's fairly moderate for a winter storm.  We have a trip planned to Saskatoon next weekend but it looks like the weather should be better by then.

Colder than a Mother-in-law's kiss. May-B said it was -42 last night and she was very busy. I would have thought that all the crazies would stay home in such weather.
Tanya told me to tell her that we two crazy people stayed home all winter and didn't cause her any grief.
